WELCOME HOME USS JOHN C. STENNIS CVN 74!!!!
Thank you to all the men and women who recently served a eight month deployment around the world aboard the Stennis!
After Andrew got out of school on Friday we took our packed lunches and headed down to the waterfront to watch the carrier pull into Bremerton. My best friend Brandy met us at the park with two of her kids too. The parking lots and streets quickly filled up with people wanting to show their support for the sailors. I love seeing the support and love that our community shows for the Navy. Quite a few of the people I spoke too didn't know anyone on the ship, but just wanted to show their support and see the HUGE ship pull in. After five years of living in Washington the sight of a aircraft carrier never gets old to me. The ships are so massive and impressive they amaze me. Seeing the Stennis pull into it's homeport I feel proud not only for the sailors aboard but for my friends and family that serve or have served in the Navy and my husband that works for the Navy. Thank you to our military that serves and protects our country!
